Traditional and contemporary drawing skills

Book Now (https://metroartdept.weteachme.com/l/xZ1gzrAr)

Foundation Drawing is a great opportunity for kids aged 10-16 to learn focussed drawing skills and techniques to support their creativity. Each week different activities will concentrate on learning specific aspects of drawing. These build up overall strategies in how we see and draw objects and people. The activities are structured to allow all skill levels to achieve and improve. They combine drawing from observation or tracing, with explorations of rendering and shading methods. A variety of mediums will also be explored, including graphite (grey lead) pencil, fine liner, charcoal and pastels. This regular practice with a variety of strategies will build artistic confidence, and a strong skill base demonstrated in a collection of striking artworks.

Paul Hasell is a commercial artist and qualified art teacher with extensive experience in creative arts education including training primary and secondary art teachers at Deakin University. His focus is on teaching skills and techniques to allow students to realise their creative ideas.
